About the role
The HR Manager is responsible to manage the HR function in delivering activities that add value to the Museum and apply good practice and a focus on continuous improvement. This includes managing and driving an HR strategy across the Museum, particularly workforce planning and capability initiatives.
About you

The successful applicant will be expected to:
- have substantial experience in human resource management including managing and driving people strategy; workforce plan development, implementation and reporting; organisation design; business and operational planning; and building workforce capability;
- lead, manage and develop the HR team, deliver on HR activities, and have change management expertise to successfully implement organisation development initiatives;
- manage key HR projects including project planning and implementation, managing stakeholders, risks, change impacts and communications;
- undertake learning needs analysis, and design and deliver training and development workshops; and
- identify, initiate, build, and manage strategic relationships, role model the values of the WA Museum, and actively influence where required.

Eligibility to Apply
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments) at the time of application.
A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment, as per the Department’s Police Record Screening Policy.
Pool Recruitment
This pool will be open for a period of twelve (12) months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, fixed term, full time and part time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise, however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
Applicants found suitable in this pool, may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies with the WA Museum for the duration of the pool.
