THE JOB
Are you passionate about the environment, want to work on country and motivated to undertake training opportunities?
With a supervisor and mentor, the Trainee Rangers will do a range of work looking after conservation estate on Noongar country. This includes conservation and land management including, boat-based and land-based water, biota and sediment sampling, habitat enhancement, animal and plant protection, construction and maintenance of park buildings and picnic areas, fencing, fire management, and support of tourism and recreation activities.
The successful applicants will undertake qualifications that will contribute towards a Certificate II in Conservation and Ecosystem Management. There will be a requirement to attend TAFE one day per week for 12 months and one cultural engagement day per semester.
