Our Transit Officers are the first responders to the vast majority of incidents on the metropolitan rail network. They have a professional demeanour and remain calm when faced with challenging situations.  They provide quality customer service to our passengers and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of all who travel on our network.

Being a Transit Officer is an often-demanding role that has great rewards, pay and conditions.  You will be part of a large skilled team working in a variety of locations across the metropolitan rail network.

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is rapidly expanding, and we are recruiting to cater for current vacancies and growing requirements.

With the opening of the Forrestfield Airport Link, the Yanchep rail extension, the Thornlie to Cockburn project and the Morley - Ellenbrook line we require many highly skilled, motivated, and professional people to bolster our numbers ensuring we continue to provide the highest level of service to the community both now and into the future.
