The Department of Communities brings together the services and functions of disability services, child protection and family support, housing, community initiatives and regional services reform.
Applicants are advised of the recently announced mandatory vaccination policy for a majority of occupations and workforces in Western Australia. From 1 December 2021, Department of Communities (Communities) is impacted by this policy.
In line with the Directions made by the Chief Health Officer (CHO) under the Public Health Act 2016 (WA), to be eligible for appointment to a position within Communities, applicants must provide evidence that they are fully vaccinated (unless a valid medical exemption is granted by the CHO). Fully vaccinated applicants are also required to receive a third dose by 5 February 2022 or within one month of becoming eligible for the third dose.

The Opportunity
As a Case Manager you will be responsible for investigating complaints made against public housing tenants and take action to manage disruptive behaviours in accordance with the Department of Communities Housing Division’s Policy.
