Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
Position Profile: We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced individual to the position of Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) in PCH Infection Prevention and Control Unit. This position coordinates the Infection Prevention Programs for Perth Children’s Hospital in accordance with Department of Health policy and National Safety and Quality Healthcare Standards. The CNC provides leadership, expert advice and consultancy in all matters related to infection prevention and control and as a consequence, the position holder influences the practice of nursing in allocated clinical area/s, both within and external to their health service. Areas of accountability will include the provision of leadership, clinical standard setting and monitoring, policy development, and change management.
