Mental Health Hospital in the Home (MH HITH) provides in-home daily mental health care for eligible patients who would otherwise need to be admitted to hospital.
A key focus of the service is the provision of interventions and support towards recovery. The service is offered as part of the mental health services offered by Rockingham Peel Group (RkPG).
The MH HITH multidisciplinary team of mental health clinicians is based at Rockingham General Hospital.
This is a recruitment pool for permanent full time, permanent part time, fixed term full time, fixed term part time and casual appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
We currently have various hours available. This is an “open-ended” recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:
- The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess on a monthly basis.
- Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
- Appointments may be made from this pool until 19/05/2023.
Area profile: Rockingham Peel Group is part of the South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS), one of the fastest growing health services in Western Australia and comprises two hospital campuses, Rockingham General Hospital and Murray District Hospital, in addition to community and mental health services across Peel, Rockingham and Kwinana. As the flagship hospital, Rockingham General is focused on providing high quality general medical, surgical and mental health services as well as outpatient care.
Murray District Hospital offers inpatient medical services, palliative care and allied health service.
Position profile: We are seeking experienced Clinical Nurses to join our multidisciplinary team which provides clinical and professional expertise in the delivery of recovery focused mental health intervention within the Hospital In The Home.
You will provide assessment, time limited management & support within the areas of speciality & advanced practice to consumers with complex and mental health needs, their families and carers, within & external to the service, whilst facilitating and promoting patient safety and quality of care.
