This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time and Fixed term Full time appointments. There are currently two (2) positions available (1 permanent and 1 fixed 18-month fixed term). The fixed term full time appointment has the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 29/12/2022.

Position Profile: We are seeking applications from enthusiastic individuals for the position of Senior Data Engineer. In this position, you will work across a range of existing Oracle and/or SQL Server based systems to support our business, as well as learn and use new technologies such as Snowflake and Airflow to help our team implement exciting new enterprise data warehouse and system solutions.
The role is responsible for building, maintaining, enhancing and automating data pipelines and structures across the entire data lifecycle, within complex systems and data warehouse environments. The person will be able to understand technical and business requirements and interpret these into working technical solutions to improve data lineage, transparency, availability and automation.
Experience in and/or understanding of interoperability, design and architecture and data quality concepts, including being able to actively contribute towards system design is a must. You will have the opportunity to work closely with business stakeholders by estimating, planning and executing technical solutions as well as providing support to Data Engineers and Team Leaders, with aspiration to lead projects and teams.
The successful candidate is passionate about data and how existing and emerging technologies can be better used to support and improve existing systems as well as help implement new innovative data solutions. Previous experience working in SQL Server and/or Oracle based environments in a complex multi-disciplinary business environment is well regarded.
