The Division

Network and Infrastructure (N&I) is responsible for the management and maintenance of the PTA railway infrastructure including stations, track, signalling, communications, buildings and overhead line equipment.  It is also responsible for providing IT services to support these operations.

The Role

N&I is seeking an experienced and qualified project engineer to join our team. We are looking for someone with recent project engineering experience who understands and can review design documentation and drawings, and is familiar with the relevant standards, regulations and specifications.  As Project Engineer you will be responsible for liaising with design consultants to ensure designs are compliant and to provide input towards resolving technical issues.  You will have experience in inspecting projects and apply quality assurance principles and processes to manage non-conformances.

We are looking for someone with strong technical, negotiation and conflict resolution skills to identify issues on site and communicate those issues with stakeholders.  You will have the experience and the confidence to work with a broad range of stakeholders to facilitate technical decision-making on projects quickly and efficiently.

Fixed term

This is a fixed term position until 30 June 2024 with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency.

The panel will consider your skills and relevant experience to determine your suitability to a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer.
