Fiona Stanley Hospital Medical Imaging is the provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 sites in the south of Perth (Fiona Stanley Hospital, Fremantle Hospital and Rockingham Hospital). Alongside other hospitals in the South Metropolitan Heath Service including Fremantle and Rockingham Hospitals, health services are delivered to a population of more than 659,000 people in a catchment area of 3,300 square kilometres. An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic Radiology Fellow to join our Radiology Department.
The Department is equipped with a full range of state-of-the-art imaging equipment including multi-slice CT scanners, 3T MRI and high-resolution ultrasound equipment. There is a wide range of interventional procedures performed, particularly in musculoskeletal, hepatobiliary, urological and oncology intervention. There is also a full complement of services at the Breast Assessment Centre.
Advanced Training Fellowship Programme
The Department can accommodate up to seven advanced training fellowships in any of the following sub-specialities: Interventional Radiology, Body Imaging Abdominal, Body Imaging Thoracic, Breast Imaging, Head-and-neck Imaging, MRI and Musculoskeletal Radiology.
The 12 month fellowship positions have intakes in February and August. Consideration may be given for extension 6 month fellowships. There will be 7 positions available in any of the following sub-specialties:
- Body Imaging Abdominal Fellowship
- Body Imaging Thoracic Fellowship
- Interventional Radiology Fellowship
- Head-and-Neck Fellowship
- Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship
- Breast Imaging Fellowship
- MRI Fellowship
Advanced training fellowships are only available for candidates who have passed the Part II FRANZCR or its equivalent.

FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
Fremantle Hospital (FH) is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services.
Rockingham Peel Group is part of the South Metropolitan Health Service, one of the fastest growing health services in Western Australia and comprises two hospital campuses, Rockingham General Hospital and Murray District Hospital, in addition to community and mental health services across Peel, Rockingham and Kwinana. As the flagship hospital, Rockingham General is focused on providing high quality general medical, surgical and mental health services as well as outpatient care.
Murray District Hospital offers inpatient medical services, palliative care and allied health services.
