Online Services Developer

Salary: Level 4, $78,452 - $82,797pa (pro rata) PSGO CSA GA 2017

Conditions
This is a part time (0.6FTE or 45 hours per fortnight), fixed term vacancy, for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension/s.

There will also be a Pool running for a period of 12 months from the initial appointment. Applicants deemed suitable will be placed into a pool where appointments may be considered for similar vacancies for full-time, part-time, fixed term or permanency.

Job Description
We are ideally looking for someone with Drupal knowledge but if you have a passion for coding php and using open source technology then please apply. Required is high level proficiency in programming for internet, extranet and intranet environments with Web 2.0 technology and knowledge of and experience with a range of content management systems, and database applications across multiple platforms.

In this role you will work on a finite project to develop and further enhance the WA Museum’s digital business systems including the intranet. You will be responsible for programming and development work.

Specific duties you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Production of back-end design and development and liaison with the Strategy and Performance team, Digital team and end users to achieve project outcomes.
  • Interpretation of project briefs and provisions of advice regarding development, coding, production costs and timelines.
  • Testing of developed materials and evaluation of content across various browsers.

Location
This position is located in central Perth, based at Gordon Stephenson House, One40 William Street. You will be ideally located above the under-ground rail link and within easy walking distance of the bustling café, tourist and shopping districts.
