Position Profile: The Sexual Health and Blood-borne Virus Program (SHBBVP) within the WA Department of Health is seeking to establish a pool of dedicated and enthusiastic applicants for possible appointment to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise over the next 12 months.

SHBBVP is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring the public health response to sexually transmissible infections and blood-borne viruses among priority populations in Western Australia. Suitable applicants will have high level communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate effectively. You need to demonstrate an understanding of and experience in the development and delivery of best practice sexual health and relationships education programs within the school and classroom setting.

You will be required to develop policies and programs for priority and new and emerging populations for school based sexual health and relationships education on a state-wide basis. You will manage web content and website functionality for the school program and other related web-sites within SHBBVP and undertake strategic projects with a special emphasis on inter-sectoral initiatives for schools and teachers.
