About The Role

Are you an experienced security and operations leader ready to make a meaningful impact across one of Western Australia’s most critical public transport networks? We are seeking a strategic and influential leader to oversee frontline security operations, ensuring the delivery of safe, secure and customer-focused services across our rail network, stations and associated facilities.

In this pivotal leadership role, you will provide strategic direction, operational oversight and expert guidance to frontline security teams, ensuring the delivery of safe, secure and customer-focused services across the rail network. Working closely with key stakeholders, including WA Police, government agencies and industry partners, you will lead complex operational responses, influence security initiatives and contribute to the ongoing development of transport security strategies.

You will play a critical role in managing major incidents and emergency situations, driving operational performance, developing team capability and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Through strong leadership, stakeholder collaboration and a commitment to service excellence, you will help ensure the highest standards of safety, security and customer experience are maintained across Perth's rail network.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing frontline operational teams within a complex, high-pressure and customer-focused environment.
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary security practices, community safety principles and relevant legislation, with the ability to apply this knowledge to operational decision-making.
  • Proven leadership capability, including successfully driving change, managing workforce performance and developing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across government, law enforcement and community sectors.
  • Highly developed analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and provide confident leadership during emergencies, critical incidents and challenging situations.
