The Role

Morley Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint an innovative and experienced Student Services Teacher. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the School Leadership Team and the broader multidisciplinary Student Support Team to deliver comprehensive, wraparound support for students with diverse educational needs. Ideally the starting date would be Term 4 2026, however this can be negotiated with successful applicant.

At Morley SHS, we have recently restructured our Student Services team to meet the needs of our community. The preferred applicant for this role would provide pastoral care and wellbeing support for students across two-year groups between Years 7 and 12. As an integral member of our multi-tiered support system, you would play a pivotal role in our positive behaviour support initiatives, and effective case management. Your responsibilities would include supporting student wellbeing, attendance, and behaviour. We seek an individual who is ideally skilled in building strong relationships with students, staff, and parents and who can lead restorative conversations as desired qualities for success in this position. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on students and to contribute significantly to the school’s student support framework.

The ideal candidates should be highly effective educators with a strong commitment to student services and a desire to develop their expertise in this area. You should excel at engaging, motivating, and supporting students at educational risk, while being fully aligned with our school’s vision and strategic plan. This position has no planned teaching FTE and is a great opportunity for aspirational individuals.
