The Role

The successful applicant preferably needs to have displayed experience in successfully teaching ATAR Science. As a college we strive to ensure our students seek excellence and this experience in teaching Senior School Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) Science is desirable in helping our students achieve outstanding results.

The successful applicants will ideally also be given the opportunity to work across Years 7 to 12 and bring their expertise to the Learning Area, applying their knowledge of the Science Courses, with the potential to work in the Colleges Gifted and Talented and Academic Extension Program.

To be suitable for this role, the applicant should be student and relationship focused, highly motivated, innovative and able to work effectively in a team environment, as well as display an engaging and energetic teaching style. The applicant should reflect and assess the effectiveness of their teaching practice using a variety of methods available within the College, promote an environment of active and positive learning, and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve to their highest potential. With effective interpersonal skills, the applicant will ideally work closely with students, teachers, and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students.
