The Role

The suitable applicants will ideally possess an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and be able to teach students of varying ability levels across Years 7 to 12 in a dynamic and highly engaging manner. Experience teaching ATAR Chemistry and/or Human Biology is highly desirable.

Applicants that can display the ability to apply the Department of Education’s Teaching for Impact strategy, using evidence-based practices that maximise student engagement and achievement in Science and General Capabilities are encouraged to apply. The successful applicants will ideally be highly committed and collaborative and possess a strong ability to work effectively with our dedicated Science team. They will actively participate in ongoing professional learning opportunities and continually reflect on their own teaching practice to enhance student engagement and to sustain a culture of high-quality teaching.

The successful applicants will work in collaboration with the Head of Learning Area and the Science team to lead strategies and identified initiatives in Science that continue to drive a culture of ongoing improvement in relation to student engagement, classroom teaching and student performance across Years 7 to 12.
