The Role

The college is looking for passionate Teachers of Science who ideally display commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, supporting exceptional educational outcomes for all students. Suitable applicants should use their skills to contribute to the development and growth of the Science Learning Area and promote strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Applicants should display the professional knowledge, understandings and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary school Science curriculum and have success working with very able students. An ability to teach Science across all year levels is desirable and the capacity to support students to achieve their Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) through courses such as Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Biology, ATAR Chemistry, ATAR Physics and ATAR and General Human Biology.

Suitable applicants would support the implementation of the college’s Business Plan, work and teach in a team environment, be committed to whole college approaches and initiatives and have a strong evidence-based approach to teaching. Adopting inclusive practices, focusing on student centred learning and building positive relationships with students, staff and the community are important components of the role.
