The School
Staff at Yanchep Rise Primary School are part of a positive, connected and high-expectations school community where students are at the centre of everything we do. Our culture is built on strong relationships, inclusion, respect and our RISER values – Respect, Integrity, Safety, Excellence and Resilience.
We are looking for highly motivated, skilled and collaborative educators who are committed to excellence in teaching and learning and to making a positive difference for every student. Staff are expected to work as part of a team, contribute to our whole-school approaches and maintain high expectations for themselves and their students.
As a rapidly growing school, Yanchep Rise is a dynamic place to work. Suitable applicants will ideally be flexible, proactive and willing to adapt as our school continues to grow and evolve.
Applicants who bring additional skills, interests or expertise that can enrich opportunities for our students and school community, including areas such as Music, Digital Technologies, STEM, The Arts, sport or other specialist areas, are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Role
Teachers at Yanchep Rise PS should be skilled, reflective practitioners who use evidence-based, high-impact teaching practices to achieve strong outcomes for every student. They should use data and ongoing formative assessment, including Elastik, to interpret student achievement, identify areas of need, differentiate teaching and plan next steps in learning.
Our students have diverse strengths, backgrounds and needs. Suitable applicants should display an understanding of inclusive and trauma-informed practices and be confident supporting students with complex learning, behavioural, social-emotional and regulation needs. Strong relationships, clear expectations and safe, predictable learning environments are central to our approach.
Our RISER values – Respect, Integrity, Safety, Excellence and Resilience underpin our high expectations for every student. Through Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and consistent whole-school approaches, staff share responsibility for all students and work collaboratively with families, Student Services, education assistants and external agencies to provide targeted support and intervention.
Our evidence-informed whole-school approaches provide strong foundations in literacy and numeracy. Knowledge and experience in explicit teaching, Daily Reviews, Literature Based Units, Word Origins and Sounds Write would be highly regarded.
Suitable applicants should be committed to a strong culture of professional growth, observation and feedback. Staff participate in coaching, classroom observation, feedback, collaborative planning and Professional Learning Communities to continually strengthen teaching practice. Middle leadership opportunities are available for staff who are ready to contribute beyond their classroom, share expertise and lead aspects of whole-school improvement.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are important. At Yanchep Rise, we believe it takes a village to raise a child, and we work in partnership with students, families and our wider community to ensure students remain at the centre of everything we do.
Suitable applicants are encouraged to have an understanding of the current Yanchep Rise Business Plan and the Student Engagement Guidelines when applying for this position. These can be found on the school website.
