The School

Roleystone Community College (RCC) is an Independent Public School in this Perth Hills, providing a comprehensive and holistic education to students from Kindergarten to Year 10.

Our school is positioned in a semi-rural area on the Darling Range, offering a distinctive learning environment that leverages its natural surroundings and close-knit community context. We have a personalised approach to teaching and learning, with staff able to build strong relationships and respond effectively to individual student needs.

We pride ourselves on providing promising futures for our students, this is underpinned by a strong emphasis on wellbeing, engagement, and tailored learning pathways. Curriculum delivery is enhanced through specialist programs in digital technology, sustainability, and the arts, alongside a culture of restorative practice and student voice.

We place equal importance on the wellbeing of both staff and students. As a school we are proud to be engaged with ‘The Resilience Project’ from Kindergarten through to Year 10, building a culture of gratitude, empathy and mindfulness that supports learning and life.

Teachers at RCC are encouraged to grow their practice through regular classroom observation, professional dialogue and genuine collegiate support. We are developing a culture where teachers learn from one another, share ideas openly, and take pride in the success of the whole school, not just their own classroom.

We see ourselves as a community asset and value and foster lasting partnerships with the community. Staff collaborate closely to implement evidence-based pedagogy, support positive behaviour, and foster a professional culture focused on continuous improvement and student.

By joining us, you will become part of a community that values care, respect and academic progress in equal measure. Our staff know their impact matters; and together we create an environment where every child can thrive.

Find out more about our school by visiting Roleystone Community College or Schools Online.

The Role

We are seeking teachers who are student-focused, relationship-driven, and committed to helping every child progress. At RCC, our team build strong connections with students and families, set clear expectations, and create purposeful learning experiences that meet the needs of all learners.

This means designing engaging lessons, differentiating for a range of abilities, and using evidence-based strategies to support both high and low achieving students. We seek teachers who reflect on their practice, seek feedback, and work collaboratively to improve outcomes.

We value enthusiasm, innovation, and a willingness to contribute to the life of the school. Teachers at Roleystone engage in professional dialogue, observation and ongoing learning, knowing that by supporting one another we create the best environment for student success.

The role thrives on collaboration. You would plan and reflect alongside colleagues, share ideas, and contribute to a culture of professional trust and growth. We are developing a strong culture of observation, feedback and collegial support, so teachers can continually refine their practice.

Our school places a strong emphasis on wellbeing for staff and students alike. Teachers are active participants in The Resilience Project, embedding gratitude, empathy and mindfulness into their teaching to support learning and wellbeing across Kindergarten to Year 10.
