The Role
The successful applicant would be responsible for delivering engaging, inclusive and high-quality music education programs for students across the primary years. Through a variety of experiences including singing, instrumental music, movement activities and performance opportunities, they should foster students' musical knowledge, skills and appreciation while nurturing confidence, creativity and a love of learning.
The Music Teacher plays an important role in enriching the cultural life of the school by organising and supporting performances, assemblies and special events. They would ideally create a positive, stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages active participation, self-expression and achievement for all students. Working collaboratively with teachers, students, families and the wider school community, the successful applicant should contribute to the development of a thriving music program that enhances student engagement and success.
We are ideally seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic educator who displays excellence in teaching and learning and has a genuine passion for music education. The successful applicant should be committed to inspiring students and fostering meaningful engagement through innovative and inclusive teaching practices.
They will ideally possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families. An understanding of differentiated teaching strategies and the ability to respond to the diverse needs of learners is highly regarded.
