The Role
SRC is ideally seeking a skilled teacher with a specific focus on developing student numeracy skills. The successful applicant would have experience using an explicit instruction model to develop learning experiences which build each student’s mathematical capability.

Applicants with experience in a primary school setting who are looking to move into a secondary school setting are strongly encouraged to apply.
The TLC program provides students with intensive support focussed on targeted literacy and numeracy interventions designed to address the gaps in student knowledge and understanding. The aim of the program is to create a clear pathway for students into further training or employment through functional literacy and numeracy skill development, using and reviewing data to build a profile in developing curriculum appropriate to learning needs, whilst supporting their social and emotional needs.
The successful applicant will ideally provide high quality and relevant learning experiences for a small cohort of twenty (20), with the program catering for students in Years 7 to 9. The successful applicant should be able to display that they can develop and implement numeracy interventions programs that meet the academic needs of each student. The successful applicant would have experience in developing and implementing data-driven plans and utilising explicit teaching strategies/practices across a range of learning areas.
