The Role

We are seeking enthusiastic Teachers to join our team in generalist ECE, Primary or Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and Physical Education specialist roles, depending on the suitable applicants’ strengths, experience and interests and the evolving needs of our school community.

Suitable applicants will ideally be warm, flexible and proactive educators who bring a commitment to student-centred care, high expectations, a strengths-based approach and inclusive education. They will aim to establish calm, supportive and engaging learning environments, build authentic relationships with students and families and work collaboratively with colleagues.

A commitment to The Paraburdoo Way, including our whole-school explicit instruction approach across core subjects, Positive Behaviour Support practices and student wellbeing, will be highly regarded. The ability to combine explicit teaching with practical application and creative thinking across phases of learning will also be highly valued.

For the STEM specialist role, we seek an enthusiastic and knowledgeable educator to lead the implementation of Two-Way Science and CORE learning across the school. This role will integrate Aboriginal perspectives and Western science through well-sequenced inquiry and project-based learning (PBL), developing students’ curiosity, knowledge and problem-solving skills.

For the Physical Education specialist role, we seek an active educator to build students’ skills, confidence and enjoyment of physical activity from Pre-primary to Year 6. Suitable applicants should explicitly teach fundamental movement skills and develop teamwork, cooperation and a positive team culture through inclusive, engaging learning experiences. They will coordinate school carnivals and sporting events, build connections with network schools and local sporting clubs and make full use of our outstanding community sporting facilities to support participation and achievement.

For the generalist roles, we have a range of possibilities available, ECE Teacher, Primary Teacher and Internal Relief Teacher. We welcome teachers committed to delivering purposeful, engaging learning experiences across the primary curriculum. Graduate and experienced teachers with recognised Primary or ECE teaching qualifications are encouraged to apply.

These opportunities offer scope to broaden teaching experience from the early years to Year 6, contribute individual strengths and develop professional practice within a collaborative school culture.
