We are seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Queens Park Primary School (PS) is ideally seeking to establish a pool of high-quality, high-impact teachers for full-time and part-time positions that may arise during the 2027 school year.

Queens Park PS is an Independent Public School catering for approximately 300 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our culturally and linguistically diverse community includes approximately 78% of students from English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) backgrounds.

Located approximately ten kilometres from the Perth CBD, between Welshpool Road and the Armadale rail line, Queens Park PS has proudly served its local community since 1905.

Suitable applicants should:

  • Display high expectations for student achievement, engagement and behaviour
  • possess strong knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and use this to plan, teach, assess and differentiate effectively
  • Display effective use of explicit, evidence-based teaching practices
  • use student achievement data and formative assessment to identify learning needs, plan targeted instruction and monitor progress
  • respond effectively to students with diverse academic, linguistic and additional learning needs
  • establish safe, orderly and engaging learning environments through consistent and effective classroom management
  • contribute actively to collaborative planning, moderation, data analysis and professional learning
  • build positive and respectful relationships with students, families, colleagues and the wider school community
  • Display professionalism, initiative, flexibility and a commitment to ongoing professional growth.

Applicants should have a strong understanding of how students learn and the importance of systematic, explicit and responsive instruction. Knowledge and experience in EAL/D pedagogy, oral language development, literacy and/or early childhood education will be highly regarded.
