Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
We are currently seeking to expand our cohort of experienced Early Childhood Teachers with the qualifications and capability to deliver curriculum from Kindergarten to Year 2.
At Mount Helena Primary School (PS) we are committed to creating a supportive community where every student is empowered to achieve their personal best. Our mission is to provide a strong educational foundation that fosters academic excellence, resilience, and a growth mindset, enabling students to embrace challenges with confidence and pride. The Role
Suitable applicants will ideally display a commitment to excellence by promoting, modelling and maintaining high expectations for all students while adhering to whole-school approaches that are evidence-based and informed by current research. They should implement high-impact teaching strategies and use ongoing formative assessment to provide timely feedback, monitor student progress, and plan differentiated learning experiences that respond to individual student needs. A strong focus on student growth, achievement and continuous improvement is highly desirable.
Ideally, we are seeking highly motivated, skilled and dedicated educators who are passionate about improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for every child, every day. Suitable applicants would embrace our whole-school approaches, including explicit teaching and evidence-informed instructional practices, and demonstrate a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum. Knowledge of programs such as UFLI, Heggerty, Spelling Mastery and Impact Curriculum would be highly regarded, along with a commitment to implementing whole-school policies, procedures and lesson design frameworks. Suitable applicants should value the use of student data to inform teaching, actively engage in professional learning and reflective practice, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and sustainable change. Building strong partnerships with families and the wider community to support student learning is also a key expectation of the role.
