The Role

Suitable applicants will be joining a team of experienced and successful English ATAR and General teachers. We are seeking a teacher with outstanding knowledge of the English syllabus and a proven ability to create excellent learning experiences for our students which are both rigorous and engaging. The ideal applicants should be passionate about literature and be able to spark this passion in their students.

Suitable applicants will also work across Years 7 to 12 and bring their expertise to the English Learning Area, applying their knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum. Ideally you will be student focused, highly motivated and innovative. Suitable applicants should possess excellent interpersonal skills, be enthusiastic and be able to work cooperatively in a large collaborative Learning Area team. Strong classroom management skills, the ability to develop rapport and motivate students, the ability to differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs and to practise a range of high impact teaching strategies are highly desirable. Applicants should also display an awareness and understanding of how they use data to inform their teaching practice, and to improve student learning outcomes.

The ability and initiative to work well with colleagues as part of a team, to develop teaching strategies, resources and approaches to ensure each student can reach their maximum potential should be addressed in applications.
