The Role

Are you passionate about supporting children with disability to develop their confidence, independence, communication and skills for life? Malibu School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher to join our Primary School team, creating and delivering engaging, authentic and highly differentiated learning experiences in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Our teachers deliver personalised programs that recognise each student’s strengths, interests and individual learning needs, with a strong focus on engagement, communication, independence and wellbeing. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and flexible teacher who can think outside the box, build strong relationships and create meaningful learning experiences that support every student to achieve their potential.

The successful applicant will be committed to our vision of ‘A Future Without Limits’ and to providing high-quality teaching within a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, Education Assistants and families to develop and implement relevant and achievable learning programs aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum and ABLEWA.

The successful applicant will ideally have knowledge and understanding of a range of disabilities and the impact these can have on learning, communication, behaviour and participation. Experience with evidence-based teaching practices, differentiated instruction, positive behaviour support and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) would be highly desirable.
