This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 4, 2026

Piara Waters Senior High School (SHS) is situated in the beautifully landscaped suburb of Piara Waters, approximately 25kms south of Perth. The school is surrounded by luscious greenery and forms part of the vibrant, multicultural community of Piara Waters. The school commenced with Year 7 students in 2023, and presently has Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 cohorts. Each year the school adds to its growing cohort, until it reaches Year 12 in 2028

Our students are living in a rapidly changing world, and they need the skills to adapt and change with it. A diverse curriculum offering traditional and innovative programs of study, combined with innovative approaches to learning and teaching, will equip students to develop the skills they need to confront, adapt and thrive in a competitive and dynamic future world. The Role

The successful applicant should be student and relationship focused, highly motivated, reflective, and innovative. The successful applicant should be flexible, adaptive teachers with knowledge and skills related to students with disability, including Intellectual Disability (ID), physical disability, high need autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and imputed disability. The successful applicant will ideally be proficient in managing classes and have the interpersonal skills to liaise with parents and therapists to meet the educational and pastoral care needs of the students.

The successful applicant would be committed to promoting and fostering high levels of student engagement and academic and personal achievement in a supportive environment where success is celebrated.  The successful applicant should be student and relationship focused, highly motivated, reflective, and innovative. You should have a firm belief that all students can reach their potential to achieve their highest educational outcomes. Adopting inclusive practices, building positive relationships with students, staff and the community are important components of the role.

Teachers who can create a learning environment that is differentiated, challenging, caring, and creative and that caters for the range of needs of all students so they may achieve and progress, are strongly encouraged to apply.   • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
