Pingelly Primary School (PS) is seeking a passionate, hardworking Early Childhood Teacher to join their regional school, teaching a senior classroom.

Pingelly PS is located approximately 160 kilometres south-east of Perth. The school is characterised by attractive gardens, extensive grounds and excellent facilities. For more than a century our school, both as a District High and Primary School, has provided quality education to local students and their families within a distinctive rural setting. The Role

As a valued member of our team, we seek a conscientious, flexible, and innovative educator committed to the holistic development of every student and actively engaging in the school and wider community. All staff are expected to implement High Impact Teaching practices, use evidence-based decision-making and differentiation, and support our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework.

Ideally, we seek a motivated teacher with a passion for early childhood education and a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum, Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and contemporary early childhood pedagogy. Knowledge of, and experience in, Promoting Literacy Development (PLD) and play-based learning will be highly regarded.

The successful applicant will deliver a developmentally appropriate and inclusive curriculum that meets diverse learning needs and supports students' academic, social, and emotional development. The ideal applicant should use evidence-informed practices, including explicit literacy instruction through PLD, InitiaLit and purposeful play-based learning, while building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and wellbeing.

Strong behaviour support skills, grounded in positive relationships, are essential. The successful applicant will implement the whole-school PBS approach, incorporate trauma-informed practices and cultural awareness, and contribute positively to our staff culture and learning community.
