The Role

Lesmurdie SHS is seeking to appoint a passionate and innovative teacher who is responsive to change and able to cater for the learning styles of future-ready students. The successful applicant should demonstrate a commitment to developing independent and confident learners and be willing to join a team of like-minded professionals.

The successful applicant should ideally exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality curriculum programs within the Arts Learning Area. A thorough understanding of instructional and curriculum design, together with a commitment to remaining informed of contemporary developments within the Learning Area, would be highly regarded. Experience teaching Years 7 to 12 Drama, including Senior School General Drama and Media, would be advantageous.

The successful applicant should ideally be reflective in assessing the effectiveness of their teaching practice and foster a safe and accountable learning environment that supports Lesmurdie SHS's core values of Curiosity, Aspiration, Respect and Environment. The successful applicant should also work collaboratively with members of the school and wider community to provide quality educational experiences and promote the school's vision and strategic directions and ideally demonstrate a student and relationship-focused approach, together with a commitment to delivering engaging, relevant and meaningful learning experiences.
