The Role
The successful applicant will play an important role within Cannington Community College’s Student Services team, supporting students, families and staff through practical, coordinated and responsive support. Working closely with Student Services, Year Coordinators, teaching staff, school leadership, families and external agencies, the Student Support Officer will help address barriers to learning, strengthen student engagement and wellbeing, and support positive outcomes for students.
The Student Support Officer contributes to the coordination and delivery of student support processes across the College, particularly for students experiencing challenges with attendance, engagement, behaviour, wellbeing or other factors impacting their success at school. The role supports the implementation of targeted interventions, assists with communication between school, home and external services, and helps ensure students receive timely and appropriate support.
