The role

We currently have a permanent, full-time opportunity available for a Strategic Finance Business Partner to join GESB’s Financial Planning and Analysis team.

In this role, you will provide high-quality financial analysis, modelling, forecasting and strategic advice to support effective financial governance and operational decision-making across multiple business units. You will lead budgeting, forecasting and planning processes, prepare management reporting and variance analysis, and develop financial models and scenario analysis to strengthen business decisions.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will build strong partnerships with executive leaders and senior stakeholders, providing timely financial insights and advice on strategy, risk and performance. You will help strengthen financial governance, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and lift financial capability across the organisation through coaching and stakeholder support.

As our Strategic Finance Business Partner, you will bring the following skills and experience, which you will need to demonstrate in your application:

  • Strong influencing and communication skills
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused
  • Collaborative and relationship driven
  • ERP implementation and change management experience desirable
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
