This is a permanent part time role at 0.5FTE (full time equivalent).

Position Profile:  We are looking to appoint a suitably experienced and enthusiastic person to the role of Staff Development Nurse (SDN) in Ward 4A – Adolescent (Medical) at Perth Children’s Hospital. 

In collaboration with the Nurse Educator (Medical) and the departmental Clinical Nurse Manager, the SDN is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the knowledge and skills of nursing staff in Ward 4A; the planning and implementation of specific education and training programs and the provision of support for new staff, including orientation and preceptorship.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service.
