As a Senior Project Officer, you will provide project coordination and support for significant projects and large programs of work to facilitate service and operational improvements, and successful project and outcomes delivery.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing project governance and administration, including reporting, documentation, quality assurance, scheduling, budgeting, resource tracking and compliance with project management frameworks.
  • Monitoring project performance and risks by tracking milestones, critical paths, deliverables, interdependencies, issues and benefits, and escalating concerns as required.
  • Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships through effective communication, collaboration, meeting facilitation and representation on relevant forums, committees and working groups.
  • Driving continuous improvement and compliance by contributing to project management policies, tools and processes, coordinating project-related contracts, and promoting ethical, safe and inclusive work practices.

  • Current Vacancy: One [1] full-time fixed-term position available from 1 November 2026 for 9 months with possibility of extension/permanency.

  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of project management coordination, including producing reports, project documents and managing financials and schedules(Essential Work-Related Requirement 2).
  • Demonstrated experience in presenting information at a senior executive level and proven ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders(Essential Work-Related Requirement 5).
  • Relevant experience in project management within Communities or a large state government agency with knowledge of complex financial systems, processes, integrations, automations and financial governance (Suitability Requirement).

The Suitability Requirements may be assessed at any stage of the recruitment process, which may include interview, referee reports and/or other assessment methods.
