The Opportunity

We are excited to offer permanent opportunities for Senior IT Officers and IT Officers.

As Senior IT Officer:

You will play a key role in delivering secure, reliable and customer-focused ICT services across the organisation. You will provide technical expertise in end-user computing, identity and access management, ICT asset management, and technical support, while contributing to the maintenance and continuous improvement of the desktop environment, service delivery processes, and security controls.

In addition to hands-on technical responsibilities, you will lead and mentor a small team of ICT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and service excellence. Working closely with stakeholders, you will identify opportunities for improvement, support service enhancements, and help deliver technology solutions that create value for the Insurance Commission and the Western Australian community.

As IT Officer:

You will be the first point of contact for ICT support across the Insurance Commission, providing responsive, customer-focused technical assistance to ensure employees have the tools and technology they need to work effectively. You will deliver frontline support, resolve technical issues, manage user accounts and ICT assets, and assist with desktop support services while contributing to user training and continuous service improvement.

Working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders, you will support system upgrades, software releases, and the maintenance of secure and reliable technology environments. The role also involves managing incidents and service requests, promoting excellent customer service, and contributing to a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement that supports organisational success.

For further information about the role, you can view the attached Job Description Form (JDF) or Natazsa Bariacto, Head of IT Commercial on (08) 9264 3592.
