About Us

Welcome to the Goldfields, Western Australia’s largest and most iconic region. Spanning more than 770,000 square kilometres, the Goldfields offers breathtaking landscapes, rich Aboriginal culture, and vibrant, resilient communities. Our District supports a vast and diverse area, including regional offices, Aboriginal community facilities, and remote communities across the Ngaanyatjarra Lands, near the Northern Territory and South Australian borders.

About the Role

As a Senior Community Child Safety Practitioner/Officer, you will play a critical leadership role in promoting the safety, wellbeing, and development of children and young people across the Ngaanyatjarra Lands. Working in partnership with Aboriginal families, communities, and key stakeholders, you will provide advanced child protection services that support children to remain safe, connected to family, culture, and community wherever possible.

You will manage complex child protection cases, undertake risk assessments and intervention planning and contribute to building strong relationships with local communities and partner agencies. The role requires a culturally informed, strengths-based approach and a commitment to working collaboratively with Aboriginal children, families, and communities to achieve sustainable outcomes.

This position offers a unique opportunity to combine frontline practice with leadership responsibilities in a remote setting. You will be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering high-quality services while supporting community-led solutions that strengthen families and protect children.

If you are an experienced child protection practitioner looking for meaningful work, professional challenge, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact in remote Aboriginal communities, we encourage you to apply.

Please note that this is a regionally based role requiring frequent travel to remote communities across the Ngaanyatjarra Lands and broader Goldfields region to fulfil the responsibilities of the position.
