The Kath French Secure Care Centre (Secure Care) provides short-term intensive therapeutic care to vulnerable children who are presenting with high-risk behaviours. Part of this care occurs in a secured facility, and we are in the middle of designing a service that allows us to extend this intensive therapeutic support into a community-based service. The welcoming and supportive team is committed to providing children with safe, trauma informed, therapeutic care during their stay.

Your Role. Your Impact.
In this role you will have the opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team that strive to make a real difference in the lives of children every day. You will play an integral role in the Secure Care management team to:

• Assist and plan with Secure Care staff and others to develop community and family capacity to provide a safe environment for children and other vulnerable people.
• Provide services to children at the centre.
• Provide advice and expertise to Secure Care staff on the child safety and protection issues.
• Investigate serious concerns about the welfare and safety of children and take action appropriate to the situation.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or relevant human services area.
• Overseas qualifications must be assessed for Australian equivalency.
