About the role
The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to provide high-level analysis, advice and strategic insight to support the planning, redesign and continuous improvement of Community Health services.
This is an opportunity apply your expertise and help synthesise complex health information into meaningful insights that support evidence-based decision making, improved performance and services that respond to the needs of children, young people and families.
As a Senior Analyst you will report to the Director of Business Intelligence you will work closely with senior stakeholders across your portfolio and with external stakeholders and provide expert advice on the sourcing, analysis and interpretation of health information, supporting strategic planning, service improvement and reform initiatives across Community Health.
You will develop innovative modelling tools and capabilities that improve understanding of cost, performance, population needs and service demand.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert business intelligence advice to support strategic and operational planning.
- Leading and contributing to projects involving business analysis, research, benchmarking and service improvement.
- Developing and implement data-driven reporting, forecasting and modelling solutions.
- Maintaining dashboards, and related inputs and reporting systems integration, sourcing data as required.
- Developing monitoring tools as required to measure and capture progress on key performance indicators, projects and operational strategies.
- Supporting data management and improvement projects and fostering collaboration with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for quality enhancement.
- Overseeing data governance in reporting including management of sources and artifacts.
- Contributing to data related policy, and management activities as part of engagement in collaborative endeavours across various health services, including East Metro, ICT, and the Department of Health.

About our Team
The Business Intelligence Unit offer a comprehensive reporting service for the whole of CAHS, including Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH), and the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), both based in Nedlands and our Community based services (based at Mill St, Perth).
Our team of analysts work closely with senior stakeholders to enhance quality and operational performance outcomes. Through in-depth data analysis, we offer valuable insights for informed decision-making, strategic planning, and benchmarking in areas such as workforce, performance, safety and quality, clinical, outpatient and surgical services, as well as finance and activity-based funding and costing.
