We are seeking to establish a talent pool of Senior Business Analyst to fill current and future vacancies within the Business Transformation and Projects team and the Business Information Systems team. There are currently two (2) permanent positions available for immediate filling.
About the Roles
Senior Business Analyst Level 6 (JDF 00028342)
As a Business Analyst within the Business Transformation and Projects team, you will play a key role in partnering with stakeholders across the business to understand, analyse and improve business processes, systems and ways of working. Working collaboratively with business and technology teams, you’ll identify opportunities for improvement, define business requirements, develop practical solutions, and provide valuable data insights that support informed decision-making and strategic outcomes. You’ll also contribute to business transformation initiatives, including pre-project discovery and options analysis across various projects within DVS and support the successful delivery of technology-enabled solutions.
To be successful in this role, you will be assessed against this suitability requirements:
- The essential criteria outlined in the attached JDFs (00028342); and
- Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to discovery activities that identify business needs, shape future initiatives and support business improvement or transformation outcomes, including facilitating stakeholder workshops, undertaking options analysis and developing recommendations within complex Organisational environments. What problem should we solve and what are our options?
- Possess CBAP, PMI-PBA, PRINCE2 or equivalent qualifications.
Senior Business Analyst Level 6 (JDF 00027739)
As a Senior Business Analyst within the Business Information Systems team, you will play a lead role in partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to analyse, improve and transform business processes, systems and services. Working closely with business and technology teams, you will identify data-driven opportunities for innovation, define business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, recommend strategic solutions and support the successful delivery of technology-enabled initiatives. You will also provide leadership and guidance to other Business Analysts, contribute to continuous improvement activities, and help ensure business outcomes are aligned with organisational priorities and strategic objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will be assessed against this suitability requirements:
- The essential criteria outlined in the attached JDFs (00027739); and
- Demonstrated experience working between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams to translate business requirements into solution requirements and support the successful delivery of technology-enabled business outcomes. How do we turn the agreed business need into a delivered technology solution?.
- Experience with practicing Scrum or fulfilling a Scrum Master role within an Agile project environment.
- Scrum certification.

About you
- Extensive experience as a Business Analyst within large, complex organisations, with a track record of delivering business and technology improvements.
- Strong business analysis expertise, including requirements gathering, process analysis, business process redesign and solution development.
- Experience supporting projects, programs or organisational transformation initiatives from concept through to implementation.
- Outstanding communication, consultation and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and engage at all levels.
- A curious and analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret information, solve complex problems and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Experience working with data, reporting and business insights, with the ability to leverage information to support informed decision-making and organisational outcomes
