Step into the world of CPFS Priority Initiatives, where your work is more than just a job.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and influence the delivery of high-quality, culturally responsive services for Aboriginal children, young people and families. Working closely with senior leaders, communities and key stakeholders, you will drive strategic initiatives that strengthen outcomes for Aboriginal families and support the Department's commitment to culturally safe and effective service delivery.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, programs and initiatives relating to Aboriginal children and families, undertaking complex research and providing strategic advice that supports the Department's priorities and Government objectives.
  • Provide expert, solution-focused advice to District and Executive leadership on Aboriginal service delivery, ensuring services are responsive to the needs and aspirations of Aboriginal children, families and communities.
  • Develop and deliver cultural learning and capability-building strategies, including mentoring, coaching, training and fostering strong partnerships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and local Aboriginal communities.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the implementation of quality assurance and monitoring frameworks that enhance service quality, accountability and outcomes for Aboriginal children and their families.

This recruitment pool may be used to fill various fixed term or permanent, full-time and part-time positions arising within the next 12 months.

  • An individual who can work with internal and external stakeholders including Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCO) for the State-wide implementation of Aboriginal Representative Organisations (ARO) services.
  • An individual who can work with internal and external stakeholders to support Aboriginal Family Led Decision Making (AFLDM), in Mirrabooka as well as engage with ACCO’s when future AFLDM expansion is required.
  • Organisational Requirement: Ability to be released for period commencing asap to 30 June 2027.
  • Willingness to be located in Mirrabooka for the AFLDM position.

The Suitability Requirements may be assessed at any stage of the recruitment process, which may include interview, referee reports and/or other assessment methods.

Appointment is subject to meeting all Suitability Requirements.
