This role is integral to maintaining positive relationships, supporting high-quality service delivery and helping create an environment where students and families feel connected, supported and value.

The School Officer provides comprehensive administrative, operational and customer service support to ensure the efficient day-to-day functioning of the school. As the first point of contact for students, families, staff and visitors, the role delivers a professional and welcoming front office service while maintaining positive relationships with the wider school community. The successful applicant should possess excellent interpersonal skills.

The School Officer is responsible for a broad range of administrative functions, including managing student enrolments, maintaining accurate student records, monitoring attendance, updating Compass and Departmental databases, coordinating school tours, orientation programs and school events, and responding to enquiries from parents, staff and external agencies. The role also supports workforce processes through coordinating relief staff, assisting with recruitment and onboarding procedures, maintaining staff records, and facilitating induction processes in line with Department of Education requirements.

The position plays a key role in the school's financial and operational management, including receipting and banking funds, raising purchase orders, reconciling accounts, managing office and classroom resources, coordinating stock control, and liaising with contractors and service providers regarding maintenance, repairs and facilities management. Someone who possesses skills that demonstrated proactive, flexible and a collaborative approach to work is highly desirable.

The role may include providing administrative support to the Leadership Team, assistance with compliance and reporting requirements, coordinates medical and student welfare administration, maintains confidential records, and supports emergency management, risk management and workplace health and safety processes where required.
