We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Opening in 2027, Alkimos North East Primary School is seeking to create a pool of organised, proactive and welcoming School Officers to join our foundation team.

This is a unique opportunity to help establish a new school from the ground up. We are looking for someone who takes pride in getting the details right, builds positive relationships and is excited to help create the systems, routines and culture that will support our school as it grows.

The Role

Working closely with the Manager Corporate Services and leadership team, the School Officers will play an important role in establishing and supporting the effective day-to-day operation of our new school.

The role would include financial administration, student enrolments and records, ordering, asset and facilities administration, preparation of correspondence and school materials, and maintaining accurate, secure and confidential records. As a foundation school, we will commence directly with Phase 2 Kaartdijin (Compass) and will not operate Integris, providing an opportunity to establish contemporary and efficient administrative processes from the outset.

As one of the first points of contact for our school, the School Officers would also provide warm, professional and responsive support to students, families, staff and visitors, helping to create a welcoming and highly organised school environment from day one.

Who we are looking forIdeally applicants who are:

  • Highly organised, accurate and able to manage competing priorities in a busy school environment.
  • Provide warm, professional and responsive customer service and understands the important role the front office plays in shaping the experience of students, families and visitors.
  • Shows initiative, solves problems and anticipates what needs to be done rather than always waiting for direction.
  • Are digitally confident, adaptable and able to quickly learn and establish new administrative systems and processes.
  • Work collaboratively, communicates effectively and contributes positively to a high-functioning team.
  • Values clear, efficient and consistent systems and takes pride in accuracy, organisation and attention to detail.
  • Are flexible and resilient and can respond positively as priorities and processes evolve.
  • Are excited by the opportunity to join a foundation school and help establish its systems, culture and ways of working from the very beginning.
