We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

At Boddington District High School (DHS), we hold high expectations of the students and young people in our care – as well as of ourselves and our colleagues. As a school, we continuously reflect on our performance, seek feedback on how we can improve, and work together to support change.

Our aim is to create a school where every student experiences a sense of connectedness and belonging to the school community, of being known as an individual, and where staff care about every student’s overall progress and wellbeing. We believe that ‘Every student matters, every day’ at Boddington DHS and through working in partnership with our community, that all students will ‘learn, grow and succeed’.

Located 120 kilometres south-east of Perth, Boddington DHS offers courses from Kindergarten to Year 10. We attract students from the local community as well as students from Quindanning, Wandering, Bannister and Crossman. We offer the successful applicant the opportunity to work in a positive, welcoming and supportive school environment that has the benefits of a country, close-knit community combined with close proximity to the metropolitan area.

The Role

Boddington DHS is seeking dynamic, organised and customer-focused individuals to join our team as School Officers. Suitable applicants should display a friendly, positive and caring attitude and work collaboratively to promote excellence within our school community.

As a School Officer, you will ideally provide high‑quality customer service and administrative support to the school, working closely with the administration team, teaching staff, students, parents and the broader school community. Suitable applicants will ideally be proactive, adaptable and capable of managing competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment, with strong attention to detail and well‑developed interpersonal and communication skills.

The role includes a broad range of administrative responsibilities such as reception duties, enrolment procedures, processing student attendance, maintaining school databases and management information systems, providing first aid, coordinating and tracking maintenance and repair requests, and supporting the publication of school communications.

The School Officer plays an important role in supporting the smooth financial operation of the school. Under the guidance of the Manager Corporate Services, responsibilities include processing accounts and invoices, GST coding, reconciling financial records, assisting with month‑end procedures, maintaining asset and resource data, completing stocktakes and ensuring data integrity. In addition, the School Officer assists maintaining key registers and supporting school security processes.

Experience with Compass Education, Student Information System (SIS), Resource Management (RM) Billing, Human Resource Management Information System – (HRMIS) and RM Finance is highly desirable, along with a willingness to support and learn further phases of Compass implementation. The successful applicant may also assist with the induction and ongoing support of administrative staff, including the development of induction materials and coordination of relief staff.
