The Opportunity

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for administering legislation, monitoring compliance, assurance and continuous improvement?

Join us in leading a dedicated team responsible for delivering audit, assurance and compliance activities that promote safe, quality and compliant outcomes.

As the Safety Assurance Team Leader, you will oversee and coordinate the training, effective triage, supervision and allocation of compliance and assurance activities, while monitoring and reporting on associated outcomes.

Working closely with the Manager Safety Assurance, you will support the delivery of compliance, audit and assurance processes, ensure the application of proven methodologies, and identify and monitor compliance trends and act on opportunities for continuous improvement.

You will also liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, staff and business partners on a range of Safety Assurance matters, contributing to enhanced quality, safety and compliance outcomes.

The suitability requirements for this role are:

• Considerable experience in a regulator focused environment together with the ability to deliver audit, and assurance programs within a large and complex regulatory organisation.
• Experience in supervising a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of risk-based outcomes.
• Knowledge and experience in interpreting and applying a range of legislative requirements, policies, processes and procedures.
• Sound verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and liaise with customers and stakeholders in a variety of contexts.
• Sound conceptual, analytical, research and evaluation skills, including the ability to make decisions and resolve complex problems.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and be adaptable to ensure that objectives and timeframes are achieved.

• Proven organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing circumstances and consistently deliver results.
