The Insurance Commission of Western Australia is a state-owned Government Trading Enterprise that provides motor injury insurance to 2.7 million Western Australian motorists and manages the self-insurance arrangements of the Western Australian Government. The Opportunity

We are excited to offer a permanent opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our IT Business Partnering function.

This role plays a critical part in driving quality outcomes across the Insurance Commission's technology portfolio. Working closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams and technology leaders, you will be responsible for establishing and leading quality assurance practices that ensure technology solutions are reliable, compliant and fit for purpose.

You will provide leadership across quality assurance, testing strategy and release readiness, ensuring technology investments deliver the outcomes expected by customers and stakeholders. You will influence quality practices across delivery teams, provide assurance regarding solution quality and risks, and support informed decision-making throughout the delivery lifecycle.

This is an opportunity to both establish and operate a contemporary quality assurance capability. You will help mature quality assurance practices, embed strong testing and governance foundations, drive the adoption of modern quality engineering and automation approaches, and build the organisational capability required to support successful technology delivery across the organisation.

About You

You are an experienced quality assurance, testing, delivery or technology leader with a strong track record of improving quality outcomes, leading teams and influencing delivery practices within complex organisations.

You have successfully worked in environments where solution quality, stakeholder expectations, delivery commitments and risk management must be balanced to achieve successful outcomes. You are comfortable providing leadership, making informed decisions and influencing stakeholders to improve quality, consistency and delivery performance.

You will bring demonstrated experience in:

• Leading testing, quality assurance or quality engineering functions within a medium to large organisation.
• Developing and implementing testing strategies, quality frameworks and assurance practices that support successful delivery outcomes.
• Building and leading high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Driving quality outcomes through effective governance, release readiness, risk management and performance reporting.
• Promoting modern quality engineering practices, including test automation, continuous testing and continuous improvement initiatives that improve efficiency, consistency and customer outcomes.
