Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for other ‘similar’ vacancies within DOH and/or the wider WA public sector. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.

Position Profile: The Project Officer contributes to the delivery of the Clinical Excellence Division (CED)’s key functions by assisting with the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of projects, and provides administrative support to the Executive Office, Policies and Projects (EOPP). 

The EOPP team provides operational and business support for the Executive Director and the Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Directorate (PSCQ), such as the Health Executive Committee Safety and Quality; the WA Quality Action Collaborative; and the Policy Community of Practice for CED staff.

A key component of EOPP’s work and this position includes supporting the EIDO contract which provides an online suite of surgical and medical Procedure Specific Information Sheets (PSIS). The use of PSIS supports informed consent discussions with WA Health patients and ensures compliance with MP 0175/22 Consent to Treatment Policy and the requirements of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards 2 and 6.
