The Role

Greenwood College is seeking a dedicated and innovative individual to join their Leadership Team in the role of Program Coordinator - Learning Support.

The successful applicant should promote and support inclusive practices within Greenwood College and help create an environment where all students are able to reach their potential. A key component of this role is to lead special educational needs staff and develop processes to enable staff to provide exemplary service and support to students with disabilities and special educational needs.

This is a strategic position that ideally requires the successful applicant to possess the ability to critically reflect upon, review and refine school practices; and to work with the Executive team to focus on improving pedagogy and engagement.

As the successful applicant, you should be able to facilitate professional knowledge, interagency links and parent participation adhering to NCCD processes to enhance positive educational outcomes for students with learning disabilities and difficulties.

The desired applicant should possess a depth of understanding for assessment practices and the ability to support staff in understanding them is important, making highly effective communication skills highly desirable. Ensuring there is a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students and focusing on the development of students are integral to this role. You would oversee the management of identified students, coordinate Disability Resourcing applications, and support transition processes for students throughout the school. With a strong focus on communication and relationship-building, you would serve as a key point of contact for families, provide guidance on intervention processes, and ensure that student needs are met through evidence-based adjustments and continuous monitoring.

You will ideally display and embrace a personal commitment to the values of the school: cooperation, achievement, respect and engagement. The successful applicant should work collaboratively with their peers and within their various teams as part of a professional learning community.

This role may include an additional secondary teaching component as determined by the business needs of the school.
