Perth Zoo gets hands-on in wildlife conservation, at home and beyond our borders. This is what makes us one of the world’s best inner-city zoos. One simple vision inspires and directs our work – a world where diversity of species and habitats is secure.

We are seeking to establish a register of candidates for short-term contract or casual opportunities that may arise within our Life Sciences Directorate to address leave coverage, backfill for employees acting in other roles and periods where additional staffing is required to fulfill operational requirements. These roles will be within our Australian Fauna or Exotic Fauna sections.

About the Role

Working under the guidance of the Senior Technical Officer Zoology, this role works as an effective member of the section team, providing a high level or care, husbandry and health monitoring for assigned species at Perth Zoo.

Technical Officers operate within a strong safety culture and follow defined Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures, including the Zoo's Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs). Training will be provided as operationally required.
