About the opportunity

Responsible for the development, coordination and integration of clinical governance quality and safety activities and action plans within the Derby & Fitzroy Valley Health Service. The position encourages, assists and is involved in preparation for short notice assessment to ensure compliance with the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.

Using the quality framework known as the Evaluation and Quality Improvement Program (EQuiP) accreditation of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NAQHS) standards.

Suitability Criteria:

Suitability recognises that a range of factors contribute to merit, including skills, knowledge, abilities, behaviours, ethical alignment and relevant operational requirements. The suitability requirements below are derived from the Job Description Form and define what will be assessed to determine your suitability for the role:

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Proven conceptual analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication, consultation, negotiation and report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of national safety and quality health service standards.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy.
  • Current C Class Driver’s licence and an ability and willingness to travel within the region including overnight stays away from home.
  • Position based in Derby Hospital and is also responsible for Fitzroy Crossing Hospital. Therefore overnight travel will be required.
