The Opportunity
We are excited to offer a permanent Manager Technical Support and Security Operations opportunity within our IT Services leadership team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ICT leader who is passionate about people, customer experience and delivering secure, reliable technology services. Reporting to the Head of IT Services, you will lead a large multidisciplinary team across Technical Support, Infrastructure, IT Security Operations, IT Change Management and Knowledge Management.
You will play a key role in shaping how technology services are delivered, placing customers at the centre of decisions while strengthening security, resilience, service performance and operational maturity.
Central to your success will be your ability to lead and inspire people. You will create a positive and inclusive team environment, develop capability, empower your leaders and specialists, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and continuous learning.
You will also build trusted relationships across the organisation and with key technology partners, using those relationships to improve customer outcomes, manage technology and security risks, and identify opportunities to modernise and optimise services. Through your leadership, you will help ensure ICT services continue to meet the evolving needs of the Insurance Commission and the Western Australian community.

You will bring demonstrated experience in:
- Providing strategic leadership for ICT operations, technical support, security operations and enterprise infrastructure services within a complex organisational environment.
- Leading and developing multidisciplinary teams, fostering accountability, engagement, capability development and a positive, high-performance culture.
- Driving customer-centric service delivery, ensuring services consistently meet or exceed service levels, performance expectations and customer needs.
- Leading ITIL-aligned service management practices, including incident, problem, change, request, knowledge and continual improvement processes.
- Providing leadership during major incidents, complex technical issues and security events, while maintaining clear communication and stakeholder confidence.
- Managing security operations, risk management, compliance activities and governance frameworks to protect organisational systems and information assets.
- Building trusted relationships with senior executives, business leaders, vendors and managed service providers, influencing outcomes and driving strategic initiatives.
- Using performance metrics, customer feedback and operational insights to continuously improve service quality, operational efficiency and customer experience.
