The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and highly capable strategic policy leader to join Driver and Vehicle Services (DVS) as Manager Strategic Programs.
In this influential role, you will lead the development of programs to manage emerging policy challenges, legislative reform, governance frameworks and cross-government and interjurisdictional initiatives relating to driver licensing, vehicle licensing, industry regulation and other DVS priorities. You will provide authoritative advice on complex policy and reform matters and lead a multidisciplinary team to drive innovation, accountability and organisational improvement.
You will work across legal, operational, privacy and technical areas to turn complex or emerging issues into practical policy options, recommendations and implementation pathways. You will also represent DTMI and Western Australia in cross-government, inter-agency and interjurisdictional forums.
For further information about the role, we encourage you to review the attached Job Description Form (JDF) and contact Chris Davers, Director Strategic Programs on 65516732 and/or christopher.davers@transport.wa.gov.au
There is currently one permanent position available for filling.

- Proven ability to lead and manage teams, build capability and foster a high-performing, collaborative and accountable culture.
- Demonstrated ability to represent an agency in cross-government, inter-agency or interjurisdictional forums and build productive stakeholder relationships.
