Warnbro Community High School (WCHS) is seeking a highly motivated and effective Manager Corporate Services (MCS).
Our moral purpose is ‘to make a positive difference to the lives of young people’. As MCS at WCHS, you will be part of a professional community committed to meeting the needs of our students. WCHS has an established culture of pedagogy and practice grounded in an explicit instruction approach across all Learning Areas. Underpinning our teaching is a strong focus on trauma informed practice, the use of Positive Behaviour Strategies and consistent practices through our Classroom Mastery program to establish the preconditions for learning.
The school’s learning environment has a focus on student wellbeing and setting high expectations. Established specialist programs in Adventure Recreation and Creative Arts are offered as well as highly regarded enrichment and remediation pathways. We aim to create an environment where students are challenged, engaged and supported with their learning. Senior School opportunities include a wide range of VET pathways with many linked to the opportunities emerging through local industry development along the Western Trade Coast in Kwinana. ATAR pathways offered include the opportunity to engage with Curtin University’s UniReady program as an alternative entry pathway.
The school has an established professional learning culture leading the development of whole school priorities. Termly Professional Learning provides staff with ongoing opportunities to develop their practice, whilst staying connected to contemporary approaches. Similarly our MCS is committed to their own professional development to optimise effective corporate services across the school.

The Role
At WCHS, we are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young people. As MCS you will play an important role in supporting this work through the effective management of the school’s corporate services.
Working closely with the Principal and Executive Team, you will ideally provide high-level advice and operational input into financial planning, workforce planning and the development and implementation of the school’s business and operational priorities. You will oversee the school’s financial performance and ensure effective corporate services systems and processes are in place, with a strong focus on accountability, compliance, risk management and the responsible management of school resources.
WCHS is a large and complex secondary school. The school shares facilities with the City of Rockingham and is co-located with Warnbro Community High School Education Support Centre, creating a unique operating environment with shared facilities, resources and responsibilities. The role of MCS requires the ability to build productive working relationships across these partnerships, manage competing operational priorities and ensure the effective coordination and management of facilities, assets and resources.
The successful applicant will lead and manage a diverse team of school support staff and be responsible for the effective delivery of corporate services across the school. This includes financial and human resource management, budget preparation and monitoring, financial reporting and procurement, asset and facilities management, information management and the development and implementation of effective administrative processes. The MCS will ensure these functions comply with relevant legislation, Department policies and guidelines, while identifying practical opportunities to strengthen systems and improve service delivery.
The successful applicant will ideally have high-level financial and human resource management skills and experience leading teams. You should be a collaborative and solutions-focused manager with highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, sound judgement and strong problem-solving capability. The capacity to provide practical advice, respond effectively to complex operational issues and build positive working relationships with staff, families, the School Board, external agencies and community partners is highly desirable.
